Summer Programs
Week One
Math, Science, Chemistry, and Engineering.
Math
In this study of math, we look less at the numbers and more at the comprehensive patterns and the art that is math. We dive deep into what makes a mathematician and help develop lifelong skills. You will collaborate with other departments on calculating the math needed for the final project—a ¼ scale space probe.
Science
In this course you will jump right on in and get straight into the lab, learning using the periodic table and understanding how to create. You will also be a big part of the space probe developing systems to detect materials but that’s just the surface you won’t stop there.
Chemistry
In this course, you will learn about chemical engineering: you will learn what makes a vaccine or a covid test and develop them yourself. You will also work with the group to develop a chemical process that detects certain microbes and solves your problems. This dive deep into the study of the composition of the world around us, connecting knowledge to practical application, has inspired many burgeoning scientists in their pursuit of innovative technology.
Engineering
You will learn several different strategies to solve common problems and then working on scale models to better develop your engineering style. You will also be hands-on working on a probe while collaborating with scholars in other fields.
We love to host brilliant minds in the making. Each year we have several summer intensives where prospective students get a snapshot of what is like to be a college student getting to live in the dorms, picking their classes, and experiencing all that Harvarared has to offer.
Application Information and Program dates and Details are announced February via the email chain, Email the camp directors office to get on the email chain if interested.
We offer summer programs for kids 13 years old - 18 years old. Any questions about the program can be directed to the camp director Derek at harvarered@gmail.com
